The Howell County Rural Fire Department Auxiliary will hold a quarter action in conjunction with a chili cook-off hosted by the department’s firefighters at 5 p.m. Saturday. Both events will take place at the fire station on K Highway just behind the South Howell County Ambulance shed.
Funds raised through the quarter action will go toward sprucing up the memorial garden behind the fire station. Auxiliary members express appreciation to the vendors and local businesses for donating items for the auction.
