Noting “Every girl deserves a dress,” West Plains High School officials announce that free prom dresses are available to students through Thursday in the high school commons area.
From 7:30 to 8 a.m. and 3 to 3:45 p.m. each school day, junior and senior girls are invited to browse through racks of donated dresses, try them on and choose one that fits.
Anyone interested in donating dresses, bags or shoes may email Sheila Sparks, sheila.sparks@zizzers.org.
Beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday, West Plains High School will present Arts Alive, an annual celebration of fine arts held in the high school gym. Parents and patrons in the community are invited to attend.
Performances will be given at 5 p.m. by the high school band, 5:30 by drama students and 6 by the high school choir.
Art awards at 6:30 p.m. will conclude the festivities.
Light refreshments will be provided.
