On our Opinion page last Saturday, we published a column from Missouri’s 8th District U.S. Congressman Jason Smith. And, as we always do, we shared it to our Facebook page, highlighting a quote from his commentary, about the “extremely biased” nature of Corporation for Public Broadcasting and NPR and PBS, which it funds.

Sometimes, I feel a bit like Steve Buscemi’s character in that episode of 30 Rock, when he goes undercover as a high schooler and tries to blend in with his skateboard over his shoulder, a backward-turned ball cap and the awkward, unforgettable greeting: “How do you do, fellow kids?”

Well, folks, it looks like our long, wet spring might finally have given way to summer. I saw a picture of a church sign the other day that said, “Whoever is praying for rain, you can stop now.” I guess the message must have been received, because the chance of rain over the next few days are dwindling, and Sunday’s forecast is just “Hot.”
