The West Plains Police Department Citizen’s Police Academy held its graduation Nov. 9 at the Fish Shack Restaurant. Eighteen graduates celebrated the conclusion of the 10-week program in a ceremony during which where they were awarded a certificate for their accomplishment and enjoyed a great dinner.   more

Five felony charges have been filed against a West Plains man who allegedly shoved a woman from a pickup truck, then intentionally nearly ran her over before leading a Mtn. View police officer on a high-speed chase through Mtn. View and onto a county road. more
At 4:03 p.m. Oct. 14 officers responded to a report of a minor being assaulted by a walk-in at the police department. It was learned that an adult pushed a youth onto the ground before fleeing the scene. A report was completed. Officer Brent Keepes. more
