West Plains City Hall and other city offices, along with Howell County offices will be closed Monday in observance of the Columbus Day holiday. City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday. County offices will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The Greater West Plains Chamber of Commerce office will be closed, and school will not be in session for West Plains and surrounding K-8 schools.
Trash routes will not run. Trash that is normally picked up on Mondays, will be collected on Tuesday. No other routes will be affected by the holiday.
Driver examination stations statewide will also be closed for the holiday, to reopen for normal business operations Wednesday.
