Well foodies, August, and summer are ending, and our meals will change with the new season. And I'm ready, so ready. One favorite that is good all year around is grilled cheese sandwiches, even better are patty melts. Combining the two with shredded chicken or pulled pork smothered in onions, peppers, and toasted on garlic bread makes for a hearty meal. I love this idea, it's perfect if you have leftover smoked meat, paired with your choice of cheese has my mouth watering. I'm sharing a recipe for BBQ chicken to get you started but you can really use any meat. I know I'll be adding these to my fall menus to start. Don't let your summer end before trying this upgraded grilled cheese sandwich done right.
