Heart Of The Ozarks Fair dates set: June 3-7

The Heart of the Ozarks Fair will be held June 3 through 7 at the Heart of the Ozarks Fairgrounds on North U.S. 63 in West Plains, West Plains Tourism Manager Melissa Wharton announced this week. Once again, this year’s fair will feature entertainment, carnival rides, food vendors and livestock, agriculture and fine arts shows. 

FAIR SCHEDULE

There is no public admission on June 2 for the 8 a.m. Junior Market Steer, Goat, Lamb and Swine Show. Judging for Home Economics, Fine Arts, Photography and Fruits and Vegetables will also be held that day. 

Admission is free on June 3, and that day’s events include the Replacement Nanny, Gilt and Ewe Shows beginning at 10 a.m. 

Junior Flower Show Judging will be at 1 p.m. The annual Livestock Auction will begin at 6 p.m. The carnival will be open from 6 to 11 p.m. with carnival rides $1 each.

On June 4, gate admission will be $5. The Harper and Expo Buildings will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. There will be a Gospel concert at the grandstands featuring Final Authority and the Mattingly Family beginning at 6 p.m. All are encouraged to bring a lawn chair. The carnival will be open from 6 to 11 p.m. for Armband Night. Armbands are $25 each night, and will be available for purchase at carnival ticket booths.

Events on June 5 begin with the Open Flower Show Judging at 1 p.m. An SMTTPA Truck Pull will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the grandstands. The Harper and Expo Buildings will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. The carnival will again be open from 6 to 11 p.m. for Armband Night. Gate admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children younger than 6 years of age.

June 6 will feature the Junior and Open Cattle Show and the Bucket Calf Show beginning at 9 a.m. The Harper and Expo Buildings will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. The carnival will be open from 6 to 11 p.m. for Armband Night. At 7:30 p.m., SMTTPA will present a truck and tractor pull at the grandstands. Gate admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children younger than 6.

The schedule for the final day of the fair, June 7, begins with the Rabbit and Poultry Show at 9 a.m. The Harper and Expo Buildings will be open from 3 to 9 p.m. The carnival will be open from 6 to 11 p.m. for Armband Night. Southern Crunch Promotions presents a demolition derby at the grandstands at 7 p.m. Gate admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children under 6.
