When I was a school lady, I was always thrilled to see students returning to the classroom after the Christmas break, ready to get back to work. This week felt something a lot like that as the Missouri Senate convened for the start of the 2023 legislative session. The First Regular Session of the 102nd General Assembly began on Jan. 4 and it felt great to be back in Jefferson City representing the people of the 33rd Senatorial District.
