Meet the Zizzers Southwest Missouri Championship finalists

Sophomore Paige Sheridan destroyed her school records in the 200 IM (2:15.41), and the 500 Freestyle (5:18.44) placing 2nd in both events.

Freshman Evie Niesen finished 8th in the 100 Freestyle (57.32), and 9th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:18.76).

Senior Gilly Grigsby finished 15th in both the 100 Breaststroke (1:19.76) and 500 Freestyle (6:04.61).

Sophomore Addie Peugh finished 9th in the 500 Freestyle (5:55.80) and 10th in the 100 Backstroke (1:08.15).

Sophomore Trinity Wake had huge time drops, finishing 13th in the 500 Freestyle (5:57.95) and 14th in the 200 Freestyle (2:11.97).

Senior Brayden Kantola finished 16th in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:12.23.

Despite the weather, the Zizzer swim team competed in the SWMO Championship in Springfield, MO on February 5th and 7th, 2022.

The 200 Freestyle Relay team of Niesen, Audrey Land, Wake, and Sheridan broke the school record with a time of 1:47.46. The 400 Freestyle Relay team of Sheridan, Wake, Peugh and Niesen smashed their previous record with a time of 3:56.94 finishing 6th.

State Qualifiers will be announced next week with the State Championships for Class 1 being held in St. Peters, MO on February 17th and 18th.Here are your Zizzer Varsity Finalists:
