MHTC awards contracts for highway projects

During its December meeting, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded contracts for the Southeast District. Contracts included pavement improvements, a bridge replacement and a bridge rehabilitation.

Among the contracts awarded at the Dec. 4 meeting was a $2.15 million project to Pace Construction for pavement improvements and guardrail replacements on Highway 14 between Highway 181 and U.S. 63 in Douglas and Howell counties. Pace was also awarded an $807,000 contract for pavement improvements to Highway 95 in Douglas County, between highways 76 and 14.

Emery Sapp & Sons was awarded a $59,520 contract for surface improvements on the eastbound lane of U.S. 60 near EE Highway in Wright County.

Additional contracts were awarded to companies for pavement and safety improvements to Highway 21 in Iron County, resurfacing and rumble strips on U.S. 62 in Dunklin County, resurfacing U.S. 67 in St. Francois County, a bridge replacement on Highway 158 in Butler County and pavement improvements on U.S. 61 in New Madrid County.

Additional information regarding timelines and impacts to traffic will be released prior to the start of construction.
