Sept. 1 – Labor Day holiday. Classes will not meet; offices closed.
Sept. 9 – “Abandoned Ozarks II: Forgotten Schoolhouses,” 6 to 7 p.m., Ozarks Heritage Resource Center inside the Garnett Library. Presented by acclaimed regional photographer and author, Robert McCormick explores the history of early education in the remote rural areas of the beautiful Ozark Mountain country and the sociological impact of these forgotten gems of early America. Sept. 17 – Annual Grizzly Club Picnic and Special Community Welcome for Chancellor Zora Mulligan, 5 to 6:30 p.m., West Plains Civic Center Exhibit Hall. Meet Chancellor Zora Mulligan and help Missouri State University-West Plains and the Grizzly Club celebrate the 2025-26 athletic season. Sept. 29 – “Jazz Ensemble: Autumn Leaves” 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Smith-London Centennial Bell Tower. Many popular and seasonal songs will be played by the MSU-WP Jazz Ensemble.
