Over 200 vendors attend Mtn. Grove Heritage Festival

Posted

Mtn. Grove held its annual Heritage Festival on Friday and Saturday, with over 200 vendors on hand for this year’s festivities. The theme of this year’s Mtn. Grove Heritage Festival was “Trains, Planes and Antique Motorcycles,” in honor of the modes of transportation that shaped the growth of Mtn. Grove and Missouri from the late 1800s to early 1900s. Residents who came to the festival saw numerous displays of model trains, railroad history, antique motorcycles and a quilt show. Antique motorcycle clubs from St. Louis and Kansas City attended, and there was a fly-in at the Mtn. Grove Municipal Airport that festivalgoers saw on Saturday. Participants were also able to enjoy a free concert Friday night featuring a live performance by the Liverpool Legends from Branson. More than 200 craft and food vendors lined the square during the free festival on Friday and Saturday, and children got up close and personal with animals at a petting zoo.
