An Ash Flat, Ark., man died of injuries suffered in a crash at 3:31 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of U.S. 62 and Mimosa Estates Circle in Fulton County, Ark., according to the Arkansas State Police.
Cpl. Blake Johnson with Troop I of the state police in Harrison reported the deceased, David L. Hobbs, 61, had been driving east on U.S. 62 in his 1991 Chevrolet S10 when it was rear-ended by a 2016 Toyota Sequoia driven by Jamilia D. West, 36, also of Ash Flat. The Chevrolet was propelled by the impact into the westbound lane, where it was struck by a 2023 GMC Sierra, the report shows.
No injuries were reported for the GMC’s driver, who was unnamed. West was taken White River Health in Cherokee Village for treatment of her injuries.
