INCIDENTS
At around 7:00 p.m July 14 Officer Paul Bradshaw was dispatched to the Butler Children’s Park for a report of a suspicious male. On scene contact was made with the male and drug paraphernalia was located. The male was transported to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment and released. At the time of this report, no charges were pending in the matter.
At about 10:09 p.m. July 14 officers responded to the intersection of Thornburgh St. and Garfield Ave. in West Plains, Mo. for a report of a two vehicle accident. One vehicle had left the scene of the accident. An accident report was completed. At the time of this report, this case was considered open for further investigation. Officer Whitley Clark.
At about 11:01 p.m. July 14 officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Luna Dr. For a report that there was a female at the reporting party’s residence. Upon arriving, the female was located in an altered state, and EMS was asked to respond to the scene. It was also learned that the female subject had active warrants out of the City of West Plains and also the City of Mtn. View. After the female was released from Ozarks Healthcare, she was transported to the West Plains Police Department where, at the time of this report, she was being held on listed warrants. At around 8:40 a.m. July 15 Officer Paul Bradshaw made contact with a female on Howell Ave. who had an active warrant. The female was arrested and transported to the city jail for housing. At the time of this report, no charges were pending in the matter.
At about 11:12 a.m. July 15 officers were dispatched for a report of property damage located in the 1100 block of Broadway St. in West Plains, Howell County, Mo. It was reported that someone had painted a couple of tables under the pavilion. At the time of this report, this case was still under investigation. Officer Conner Burnes.
At 2:25 p.m. July 15 Officer Kevin White was dispatched to 1912 Holiday Lane (West Plains Police Department) for a report of stealing. Upon Officer White’s investigation, he found that a female had ordered a package on Amazon and the package had been delivered that day to her residence located in the 1900 block of Meadow Dr. Upon finding her package on the front porch she noticed that it was opened and what she ordered was not what she found inside; the victim found a bag of candy. The victim was able to see the mailman deliver the package, and no one else came up to the front porch, so she reportedly thought that the mailman opened her package and replaced what she ordered with candy. At the time of the report, the mailman had not been identified and the investigation was forwarded to the Detectives Division for further investigation.
At 2:47 p.m. July 15 it was reported that, that day, a male subject reported to Corporal Wes Stuart the theft of a handgun and U.S. currency from his vehicle while it was parked in the 400 block of Abe Taylor St.
At 3:50 p.m. July 15 it was reported that, that day, a female subject reported that the rear window of a friend’s vehicle was broken while it was parked at her residence in the 1300 block of Lanton Road. Corporal Wes Stuart.
At 4:01 p.m. July 15 it was reported that, that day, Corporal Wes Stuart responded to the 700 block of Worcester for the theft of a men’s bicycle. At the time of this report, this case was still under investigation.
At about 7:28 p.m. July 15 officers conducted a traffic stop on Old Airport Road in West Plains, Mo. for failure to display state registration. During the stop the driver was identified and did not have a valid driver’s license. The driver was issued citations with a return court date. At about 8:04 p.m. July 15 Sergeant Kyle Parrish responded to a residence on the 1100 block of Garfield Ave. in West Plains, Howell County, Mo. for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon investigation it was determined that a male juvenile had assaulted his father. The victim had minor physical injuries and declined medical treatment. At the time of this report, the case was to be forwarded to the 37th Judicial Circuit.
At about 12:35 p.m. July 16 officers responded to a motor vehicle crash located on Saint Louis St. in West Plains, Howell County, Mo. The vehicle left the roadway and struck several items. The driver was transported by EMS for his injuries and the vehicle was towed from the scene due to the damage. At the time of this report, the case was still under investigation. At around 5:17 p.m. July 16 Officer Paul Bradshaw initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle on Freedom Drive at the Firm. Officer Bradshaw identified the driver to have a suspended driver’s license and arrested the male. Officer Bradshaw identified the two passengers to have active warrants and arrested both suspects. During a vehicle search, drugs and drug paraphernalia were located. At the time of this report, charges had been forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor and the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor.
At about 11:57 p.m. July 16 officer Whitley Clark responded to Snappy Mart 51 located at 3675 U.S. Highway 63 in West Plains, Mo. for a report of a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival a male subject reported that his vehicle had been parked at the business for several days and when he returned it was gone. The vehicle was entered into the MULES database as stolen. At the time of this report, this case was considered open for further investigation.
