West Plains R-7 schools hosted the Ozark Conference middle school track championships this year on May 10.Several middle schools from the Ozark Conference including all Springfield junior high schools, Lebanon junior high and rural schools, Waynesville junior high schools, Camdenton Junior High, Rolla Junior High school, Bolivar Junior High school, as well as West Plains Junior High school and surrounding rural schools participated in this years event. It was a beautiful sunny day for the event and was a great meet for the conclusion of the junior high track season. Special thanks goes out to the West Plains High School Track staff and the volunteers and Zizzer track athletes who made this event possible. Their athletes performed well at the conference meet. I would also like to thank Coach Chad Dixon at Howell Valley, Coach Stacy Kutter at Glenwood, Coach Chris Marcak at Fairview, and Coach Jason Harril at Junction Hill who do an outstanding job with our Rural School track athletes preparing them for high school track and field.
