Area residents interested in taking classes at Missouri State University-West Plains during the 2027 spring semester and summer session can now browse through a list of courses online.
The complete 2027 spring semester and summer session course listings can be found at WP.MissouriState.edu/Schedule. The schedule includes classes available at the West Plains campus, in Mtn. Grove and online, officials said.
Important change for summer registration
Students will be able to register for summer classes when they register for spring classes.
“This change is designed to better support student planning and degree completion,” Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs Michael Orf explained. Previously, summer courses were scheduled when students registered for fall classes. As a result, students often did not know which summer courses would be offered until March or April, limiting their ability to determine whether summer coursework would be available to stay on track for graduation.
“We believe this change will improve academic planning and help students make informed decisions that support timely degree completion,” Orf said.
New student registration
New students can begin the enrollment process by applying for admission at WP.MissouriState.edu/ApplyNow. For assistance, call the admissions office at 417-255-7955 or email WPAdmissions@MissouriState.edu.
Once students are admitted, they may contact the advising and academic support office at 417-255-7222 or email WPAdvising@MissouriState.edu for orientation information and assistance with scheduling their courses.
Regular registration for the 2027 spring semester and summer session begins Nov. 14 and continues through Jan. 18, 2027, for spring semester classes and June 6, 2027, for summer session classes.
Current student registration
Current students can register for spring and summer semester classes during an early registration period beginning at 8 a.m. Nov. 2, and continuing through Nov. 13.
Students can prepare for early registration by consulting with their adviser during Advisement for Success Kickoff (ASK) Week, beginning this Monday and continuing through Friday. Students should contact their advisers by phone or university email to make an appointment.
Students are permitted to register during early registration according to a schedule based on the number of credit hours completed, officials said. The early registration schedule for 2027 spring semester and summer session classes can be viewed at WP.MissouriState.edu/EarlyRegistration. Students are encouraged to register during appointed times, but they also may register after that time, officials said.
Transfer and readmitted students also may register during early registration based on their number of completed credit hours. They should contact the advising and academic support office to schedule an advising appointment.
Additional registration assistance can be obtained by calling 417-255-7979 or emailing WPRR@MissouriState.edu.
