The remains of a woman from Leadington, St. Francois County, who was reported missing almost a month ago have been found in a remote area of Shannon County adjacent to the Ozark National Scenic Riverways National Park, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Leadington police.

A West Plains man charged, pertaining to a three-year-old case, with two counts each of first-degree murder and armed criminal action and one charge of attempted possession of a controlled substance, each a felony, has been arrested on grand jury warrant and is held on $500,000 bond, according to court records.
