A Willow Springs resident who was sentenced to five years in prison after a second-degree assault plea in 2020 has been charged with three felonies after allegedly making a bomb threat, causing an alert to be sent out to law enforcement agencies and Willow Springs Elementary School.

Christmas is just around the corner, and entries for the Mister and Miss Merry Christmas Pageant are now being accepted. As always, there is no entry fee for participation. However, a $5 fee will be charged at the West Plains Civic Center, where the pageant will be held, for audience members attending the show to help offset the cost of renting the venue.
