10 hurt in Troop G crashes since Saturday

Roseanna L. Tackitt, 47, West Plains, suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 4:29 p.m. Sunday on west U.S. 160, 4 miles east of Caulfield in Howell County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Msgt. T.W. Meyer, Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported Tackitt was driving a westbound 2020 Chevrolet Trax that slowed to make a turn and was struck from behind by a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by David W. Fare, 54, Caulfield.

Tackitt was transported by South Howell County Ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment, the report shows. Both drivers were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and no injuries were reported for Fare.

Two Willow Springs residents suffered minor injuries in a rollover crash at 10:12 a.m. Saturday on west U.S. 60, a mile west of Cabool in Texas County.

According to Tpr. N.B. Poynter, an eastbound 1998 Toyota 4Runner driven by James D. Owens, 68, Willow Springs, was rear-ended by a 2012 Ford Flex driven by Jessica M. Peterson, 38, Mtn. Grove. Poynter stated the two vehicles then ran off the road, and the Toyota returned to the road before overturning.

Owens and passenger Regina K. Owens, 68, were reportedly wearing seat belts at the time of the collision and taken by Texas County Memorial Hospital Ambulance to TCMH in Houston for treatment.

Peterson was also wearing a seat belt when the crash happened, and the patrol did not report any injuries to her.

Poynter was assisted at the scene by Tpr. J.L. Sentman, Msgt. D.B. Pounds and the Cabool Fire Department.

Alexis C. Turnbull, 19, West Plains, suffered moderate injuries when the vehicle in which she was riding overturned Monday afternoon.

Cpl. D.L. Nash reported the crash happened at 2:40 p.m. on JJ Highway, 2 miles south of West Plains, when a northbound 2005 Toyota Scion driven by Quinsey B. Doolittle, 19, West Plains, rear-ended a 2022 Ram 3500 driven by Derek W. Kirk, 45, West Plains. The Toyota then ran off the left side of the road and overturned, Nash reported.

Turnbull, a passenger in the Toyota, was reportedly taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment. She and the drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision and no injuries were reported for Doolittle or Kirk.

Katie L. Goforth, 18, Willow Springs, was hurt in a rollover crash at 4:10 p.m. Monday on County Road 4100, 2 miles west of West Plains.

She was driving a westbound 2005 Ford Taurus that ran off the left side of the road, struck a fence and overturned, Nash reported.

She was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment of moderate injuries, according to the report.

A woman from Alton was injured in a two-vehicle collision at 7:50 a.m. Monday on east U.S. 60 in Shannon County, 2 miles east of Mtn. View.

Tpr. L.J. Combs reported a westbound 2020 Subaru Forester driven by Carla J. King, 59, Alton, rear-ended a 2003 Sterling truck driven by James V. Woods, 47, Willow Springs.

Both drivers were reportedly wearing seat belts, and King was taken by Mercy Ambulance to Mercy St. Francis Hospital in Mtn. View for treatment of minor injuries. No injuries were reported for Woods.

Three people were hurt in a crash at 2:20 p.m. Monday on Highway 19, 4 miles south of Eminence in Shannon County.

According to Combs, a southbound 2017 Nissan Altima driven by Ashley N. Lewis, 34, of Bunker in Reynolds County, crossed the center line and struck an oncoming 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jessica J. Sartin, 37, Eminence.

It was not known if Lewis was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision, but she suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy St. Francis Hospital for treatment, the report shows.

A passenger in the Nissan, Nicole A. Holly, 30, also of Bunker, wore a seat belt, suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield for treatment.

Sartin was reportedly not wearing a seat belt, and was also taken by ambulance to Cox South for treatment of moderate injuries.

Combs was assisted at the scene by Msgt. Kimes.

A 20-year-old Mtn. Grove resident suffered minor injuries in a crash at 11:50 p.m. Monday on Highway 5, about a mile north of Mansfield in Wright County.

Tpr. Z.B. Tate reported Kamren L. Cascairo was the driver of a 2019 Kia Optima that was heading south when it ran off the left side of the road and struck an embankment.

Cascairo wore a seat belt, and was taken by ambulance to Cox South, the report shows.
