HONOR GUARD CEREMONY — Members of the Howell County Honor Guard participate in Friday's 9/11 memorial ceremony at the Lincoln School Project in West Plains, hosted by Howell County Rural Fire District No. 1. The service commemorated the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, and the Pentagon in Arlington County, Va. A fourth hijacked jet that was believed to be headed toward a target in Washington, D.C., crashed in a field in Shanksville, Penn., when passengers fought the hijackers after they learned of the earlier attacks. From left are Randall Dennis, P.J. Haddock and Bradley Laughary.
