Five new Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers for the 37th Judicial Circuit were recently sworn in by Presiding Judge Steven Privette, far right. CASA volunteers are appointed to advocate for children involved in court cases where foster care placement is being considered due to abuse or neglect. Volunteers undergo specialized training and appear in court to speak for the best interests of the children they represent.
