More than 100 country gospel singers and musicians from across the U.S. will gather in West Plains this week for the International Country Gospel Music Association’s (ICGMA) 70th annual Convention and Award Show.

The three-day event runs Thursday through Saturday at The Bridge Church, located at 10105 South U.S. 63.

Performances will feature a blend of country gospel, bluegrass gospel and southern gospel music. Daytime showcases are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, with main evening concerts beginning at 6 p.m. nightly.

The highlight of the convention will be the Gold Cross Awards Show on Saturday evening. The ICGMA will honor musical excellence across 26 categories and induct new members into its Hall of Fame.

This year's talent lineup features internationally known artists Barbara Fairchild and Roy Morris, the group White River, Chris Golden, James Payne and Jim Sheldon, host of the Music City Show. Additional performers include The Waymasters, Chuck Hancock, Joy Roberts, Wings of Love, Dan Duncan, Heather Van Deren, The Tiptons, Molly Corman, Ava Kasich, Light of Grace, Bill Baker, Victoria Steelman, Chuck Day, Melissa Evans, and Terry and Debra Luna. Several emerging artists from the rosters of two Nashville record labels will also appear.

ICGMA President Dan Duncan stated that the entire convention is free to the public. Attendees will also have opportunities to meet and visit with the performers at individual artist booths.
