Central Methodist University in Fayette celebrated its fall 2023 commencement Dec. 9 in Puckett Fieldhouse on the university’s main campus. Two area students received degrees in education during the ceremony.
Board of trustees member James Marchbank gave the commencement address as a packed house of family, friends, faculty, staff and other guests celebrated the graduates. Students were recognized for earning degrees at the master's, bachelor's and associate's levels.
Local students graduating were Belinda Jolene Gilliland of Cabool and Cheyanne Marie Wallace of Winona. Both earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Education.
