Baxter Health has added Dr. William Spencer Grigg to the Baxter Health Cardiovascular Clinic in Mtn. Home, Ark., marking the launch of a dedicated cardiac electrophysiology program for the region.
Grigg, who specializes in diagnosing and treating abnormal heart rhythms, began seeing patients in late August. He joins an established cardiovascular team that includes seven physicians and three nurse practitioners.
The addition of the program allows patients with conditions like atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias to receive specialized care without having to travel long distances. Grigg is trained to perform minimally invasive catheter ablation procedures, implant pacemakers and defibrillators, and conduct Watchman-type procedures for patients who cannot tolerate long-term blood thinners.
“This is a milestone for Baxter Health and for our region,” said Ron Peterson, president and CEO of Baxter Health. “Bringing a dedicated electrophysiology program to Mtn. Home means our patients no longer have to leave home to access this level of heart rhythm care.”
Grigg completed his internal medicine residency and general cardiology fellowship through UCHealth and the University of Colorado. In June 2026, he completed an advanced fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York.
Originally from Hickory, N.C., Grigg enjoys skiing, mountain biking, hiking, traveling and volunteering with his family.
