Baxter Health adds experienced OB-GYN to Comprehensive Women's Clinic

Posted

Baxter Health has added Dr. Michael Campbell to its medical staff at the Baxter Health Comprehensive Women's Clinic in Mtn. Home, Ark., expanding access to obstetrics and gynecology services in north central Arkansas.

Campbell brings more than 25 years of obstetrical and gynecological experience to the clinic, where he will join Dr. Maureen Flowers and nurse practitioner Brooke Hinrichs in September. His arrival helps address the ongoing challenge of providing specialty care in rural communities.

Campbell earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Texas Tech Health Science Center and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Texas Tech Regional Health Sciences Center in Amarillo. Before joining Baxter Health, he served as the OB-GYN physician at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden, Ark.

Throughout his career in Arkansas and Texas, Campbell has managed the full spectrum of obstetric and gynecologic needs, including complex cases requiring a higher level of clinical experience. He holds specific expertise in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic gynecologic procedures, which typically result in less pain, shorter hospital stays and faster patient recovery.

"Bringing additional OB/GYN coverage to Mtn. Home is something we have been working toward, and Dr. Campbell is a strong addition to an already excellent team," said Brian Barnett, vice president of physician enterprise and business development at Baxter Health. "Women across this region deserve access to this level of care close to home, and his experience and clinical skill will make a real difference for our patients."

Outside of his practice, Campbell enjoys training and hunting with his Labrador retrievers, noting that he finds joy in watching the dogs instinctively do what is programmed into their DNA.

Patients can schedule an appointment by calling 870-508-3260.
