Willow Springs School District officials have shared the results of two recent competitions attended by the high school’s Bear Pride Band. The band placed first overall in the Class 1A division during during an Oct. 7 contest hosted by Mtn. Grove High School. Altogether, the band earned an Excellent rating, and won first place overall, best drum major, best color guard, best general effect, best visual effect, second place percussion and second place music for the class division. The band traveled again on Saturday to the Branson Marching Invitational, where accolades were won for best visual, best music, best color guard and best outstanding effect, earning the Bear Pride players a first place ranking overall in Class 1A.
