Boys & Girls Club opens bidding for ‘Masked Singer’ fundraiser

Posted

The Boys & Girls Club of the Greater West Plains Area has officially opened bidding for its 2026 Masked Singer auction, launching a hybrid campaign with a $40,000 fundraising goal.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the online fundraising platform Givebutter shows the club has already raised $3,200 — roughly 8% of its target — through early supporters. This year’s event features a silent auction held during the live show alongside the online platform for select luxury items.

The current wave of live auction items includes a rustic weekend getaway to Little Beaver Creek in Bradleyville, currently holding a high bid of $240; an Ultimate Duralast Mechanics 335-piece professional tool set, currently holding a high bid of $125; a YETI Roadie hard cooler with an adjustable strap with a current high bid of $20; a “Simply Ageless” package offering the winning bidder the choice of Botox injection or lip filler; and an in-cab gun rack secure storage system for vehicles. Supporters can view all items and place bids at givebutter.com/c/maskedsinger2026.

ABOUT THE EVENT

Inspired by the hit television show of the same name, the “Masked Singer” fundraiser features local personalities performing in elaborate costumes while guests attempt to identify the singers. This year’s lineup includes West Plains Mayor Mike Topliff, Howell County Collector Janet Crow, City Councilman Greg Collins, Robin Logue and Kelly Sutherland.

The evening includes dinner, a 50/50 cash giveaway drawing and interactive games. All proceeds support local after-school and summer initiatives, mentorship and academic support.

The fundraiser will be held May 9 at Rubydoo’s Vintage Events, 9240 County Road 9190. A social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the main competition at 6 p.m.

Tickets are available at the Boys & Girls Club, online at bgcwp.com and the Givebutter website, or via Facebook at @bgclubwp. Early bird tickets are $60 through Thursday, after which the price increases to $75.
