The Chaos Closet on East Main Street in West Plains, opposite of West Plains Bank and Trust Company, will hold a special Foster Friday event from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
Foster families are welcome to come in to shop, as well as collect any school supplies they may need for the children they are caring for. After today, any remaining school supplies will be made available by request on an as-needed basis, said Chaos Closet Director DeeDee Button.
Distribution of school supplies has been made possible through contributions from private donors and local businesses in the community and the materials are available to children in foster care in Missouri's 37th Judicial Circuit.
The Chaos Closet is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission of meeting the immediate needs of children in foster care. The closet is located directly off of Court Square in West Plains.
