The Missouri Wing of the Civil Air Patrol in Sedalia is inviting local teachers, homeschool families and youth leaders to participate in its Aerospace Education Member program.
The initiative aims to promote aerospace and STEM education in classrooms, homeschool environments, museums, libraries and other youth organizations. Traditional K-12 teachers, homeschool coordinators and STEM program leaders are all eligible to apply.
Participating educators receive free STEM kits that do not need to be returned, along with access to free curriculum materials tailored for K-12 aerospace education. The program also offers participants a free Teacher Orientation Program flight aboard a Civil Air Patrol aircraft at a local airport.
Membership costs $35 for the first year and is free in subsequent years for educators who choose to remain active in the program. Participants are not required to wear a military uniform, attend local unit activities or fulfill any military service commitment.
