Commission to choose delegates for meeting

Posted

During its 10 a.m. regular session Monday, the Howell County Commission expects to appoint delegates to represent the county at upcoming meetings and hold discussions regarding two grants.

Commissioners will first approve any accounts payable before moving on to the consideration of designating an employee delegate to represent the county at the upcoming annual Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System (L.A.G.E.R.S.) meeting. An employer delegate will also be considered. Ballots are due to commissioners by 10 a.m. Monday.

The delegate or delegates will represent the county during the annual meeting set for Oct. 26 through 27.

Sheriff Brent Campbell is scheduled to meet with the commission at 11 a.m. for a grant conference and to set up accounting and review a subaward agreement with the Missouri Department of Public Safety for a Crisis Intervention Program specialist.

Commissioners will also recognize guests who may be in attendance.

The commission typically meets every Monday and Thursday in the conference room on the second floor of the Howell County Office Building, 35 Court Square. The public is welcome.
