As I write this, the seasonal shift has begun. Even though our summer this year was mild, I always look forward to fall, there is nothing cozy about summer. While pumpkin everything tops the fall must have list, apple is a close second, but I don't really consider apple to be just for the autumn months. Apple pie is my favorite, with so many recipes for this classic pie, I'm looking for a more kid friendly option, one that can be toted around. I think I found the perfect recipe for just that. These apple pie oatmeal bars should do the trick, and packaged with little kids in mind will make for any size gathering or fun playdate. And let's not forget the adults, just cut bigger bars. Now that fall can officially take over, it's all about baking and cooking for the new season, one with the best flavors. Happy Fall foodies!
