Farmers market program for seniors to be offered in June

A nutrition program aimed at helping low-income senior citizens have access to fresh fruits and vegetables will be offered in June.

The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Tuesday during the month of June at the West Plains Senior Center, 416 E. Main St.

To verify qualification, seniors will need to provide photo identification, proof of residency such as a utility bill and proof of gross income, such as a S.N.A.P. letter, tax return or bank statement.
