Four youths hurt in Tuesday crashes

A teen driver suffered serious injuries in a crash at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday on Y Highway, 4 miles north of Mtn. View in Howell County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Tpr. J.M. Kenyon with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported a northbound 2008 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 17-year-old girl ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree. Her name has not been released by the patrol because she is a minor.

She was not wearing a seat belt and was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment, the report shows.

Three children were injured in a crash, one of them seriously, at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday on south U.S. 63, a mile north of Brandsville in Howell County.

Tpr. C.C. Battreal reported a northbound 2019 Dodge Caravan driven by Allie N. Dudgeon, 30, Milton-Freewater, Ore., ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Dudgeon suffered moderate injuries and passenger Abigail R. Allen, 25, also of Milton-Freewater, suffered minor injuries, the report shows; both were transported by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment.

A a 4-year-old girl from Milton-Freewater and a 6-year-old girl whose hometown is not known by the patrol also suffered minor injuries and were both transported by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare, Battreal said.

An 8-year-old girl who suffered serious injuries was flown to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, the report shows.

Her hometown is also unknown, the patrol reported, but all who were injured were wearing a seat belt or secured in car seats at he time of the accident.
