A benefit auction will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at West Plains Middle School to assist John and Dr. Amy Ross with medical bills and expenses related to John’s battle with cancer.
According to event organizers, he has non-Hodgkins lymphoma, small B cell and diffused large B cell, and has been given a diagnosis of Stage IV, or the most advanced stage of cancer, as it is found in all of his lymph nodes, blood and bone marrow.
His wife, Dr. Ross, is an assistant superintendent for the West Plains R-7 School District.
