‘GO FARM’ FARMER’S MARKET: Labor Day barbecue specials set for Saturday

Posted

The "real" Michael Jackson still lives in West Plains! And he is back this Saturday with his scrumptious baked goods, including pies, cakes and cookies — and a whole lot more. As y’all know, Michael is always full of surprises for us!

It’s Labor Day weekend, and our vendors will have all kinds of specials for your barbecues with family and friends, including meat specials from K&P Farms. Brassfield Farms will have fall-color mums and pumpkins. Vendors will also have plenty of fresh produce, and to cool you down, Anna and Stephanie will be serving vanilla ice cream and root beer floats!

Important Schedule Reminders

The market will be closed for one Saturday only on Sept. 19. Endurance Church will hold its annual Women’s Retreat that and requires the whole parking lot. The market will reopen for regular hours on Sept. 26.

Oct. 24, we will have our annual Fall Festival featuring our Vendor Only Chili-Cookoff and Vendor Only Pumpkin Carving Contest. Customers participate by taste-testing the chili and voting for the best-tasting chili and best-looking pumpkin.

Food Court Favorites

Our food court vendors offer a variety of hot meals and refreshing treats:

• Furiosa’s Nomad Kitchen: organic, plant-based and alpha-gal friendly street food.

• Grassy Hill Farms: authentic Filipino cuisine.

• Tamales To Go: authentic Mexican food and drinks.

• The Two Sisters Sweets: vanilla ice cream and root beer floats.

• Tribal Cajun: authentic Cajun specialties.

A brief sample of our regular weekly items includes local artisan crafts, fresh produce, tallow products, beeswax candles, grain-finished and grass-fed beef, gluten-free and dye-free baked goods, raw local honey, gourmet pastries, fried pies, sourdough breads, Olga's Bee Venom Cream, self-defense keychains, health and beauty products, jalapeño jams, pickled and fermented foods, yogurt and sourdough starters, DIY ferment kits, freeze-dried fruits, hot and iced coffee, boba tea and much more!
