‘GO FARM’ FARMER’S MARKET: Market celebrates Father’s Day

Posted

To all the dads — Happy Father’s Day! The market is ready to help celebrate this weekend. Many vendors will feature Father’s Day specials, including Abby Eldringhoff from Barefoot Holler. Abby will have frozen sausage and biscuit breakfasts available, making it easy for the kids to surprise Dad with a hot meal Sunday morning.

We are thrilled to announce that Hideaway Farms is back with their famous, locally produced apple cider! Be sure to stop by and get a sample while supplies last.

Please join us in welcoming our newest vendor, Farrah Riley, owner of Stevie’s Sunshine Market. She will be bringing us homemade candles, soaps, wax melts and other high-quality products.

The local bounty is growing! Fresh produce has arrived and is coming in greater volume weekly. Shoppers can now find tomatoes, onions, potatoes, squash, blackberries, peaches and more.

Holiday Prep

July 4 is just around the corner, and America’s 250th anniversary celebration is underway. Many of our vendors are already creating patriotic-themed products to help commemorate this historic milestone. Leona Somoza will be back at the market this Saturday with her popular patriotic T-shirts and a variety of other handcrafted items, all made by Leona herself.

Our food vendors frequently sell out, so we encourage you to come early! This week’s food court includes Grassy Hill Farms with authentic Filipino cuisine, Tamales To Go with authentic Mexican favorites and JLP Catering with authentic Italian specialties.

A few favorite market staples available this week include local artisan crafts, tallow-based products, beeswax candles, coffee beans and ground coffee, grain-finished beef, grass-fed beef, gluten-free and dye-free baked goods, raw local honey, gourmet pastries, sourdough breads, self-defense key chains, jams, pickled foods and boba tea.

The market is held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays (weather permitting) at the Endurance Church parking lot, located at 805 Worley Drive in West Plains (next to Hirsch Feed & Farm Supply).

We accept SNAP/EBT, Double Up Food Bucks (DUBS), cash, credit and debit payments. To stay connected or contact your favorite vendors, follow “GoFarm” Farmers Market of West Plains on Facebook @gofarmwestplains, visit OzarkMarketPlace.com or call 417-293-0590.
