This weekend is July 4 weekend — Independence Day — and America’s 250th anniversary celebration is in full swing! To help commemorate this historic milestone, many of our vendors have created patriotic-themed products, holiday specials and free coloring books and crayons for the kids while supplies last.
Food Court Favorites
Kicking off our big holiday weekend is “The Two Sisters Sweets.” Anna and Stephanie Tackitt will bring homemade vanilla ice cream and classic root beer floats to the market. You can find their booth down in the food court right next to the Filipino food tent.
Our food court vendors frequently sell out, so be sure to come early! This Saturday's lineup of authentic foods also includes Grassy Hill Farms Filipino cuisine, Tamales To Go with Mexican favorites and JLP Catering’s Italian specialties.
Holiday Vendor Specials
Our local crafters, bakers and farmers have lined up several festive promotions for holiday shoppers:
• K&P Farms: Featuring a wide selection of beef specials perfect for your holiday barbecues.
• Hope’s Handmades: Spend $20 and receive an additional $20 in free product.
• BeauKeyFul: Offering $5 off large and extra-large self-defense keychains, $10 coaster sets (regularly $15) and a free gift with any purchase.
• Barefoot Holler: Launching its new Porch Swing tea alongside free sample popsicles made from signature syrups. The booth will also feature a red, white and blue holiday jam trio: strawberry jalapeño, pear and lemon blueberry.
• Falling Springs Farm: Serving up a red, white and blue fresh-squeezed lemonade packed with real strawberries and blueberries, alongside the return of its summer-favorite blackberry kombucha.
Fresh Summer Crop Harvest
In addition to the holiday specials, the market is fully stocked with fresh local baked goods and summer produce. This week's harvest includes peaches, sweet corn, blackberries, tomatoes, green beans, potatoes, squash, mushrooms, onions, jalapeños and peppers.
A sample of our ongoing weekly market favorites includes local artisan crafts, tallow products, beeswax candles, coffee beans and grounds, grain-finished and grass-fed beef, gluten-free and dye-free baked goods, raw local honey, gourmet pastries, fried pies, sourdough breads, Olga's Bee Venom Cream and boba tea.
The market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays (weather permitting) in the Endurance Church parking lot, 805 Worley Drive in West Plains (next to Hirsch Feed & Farm Supply).
We accept SNAP/EBT, Double Up Food Bucks (DUBS), cash, credit and debit cards. Stay connected by following “GoFarm” Farmers Market of West Plains on Facebook @gofarmwestplains, visiting OzarkMarketPlace.com or calling 417-293-0590.
See y'all Saturday!
