Hammond Mill Camp will host a BBQ & Bluegrass Gratitude Lunch Out for the community from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The free event is being held to show appreciation for the support shown during the camp’s 75th Anniversary Capital Improvement Fundraising Campaign, which raised $120,000 in the past year, according to Board President Robin Mustion.
Live music from The Bluegrass Hymnals and Faith Chapel Quartet will be featured at the event on the campgrounds at Hammond Mill Camp on CC Highway west of West Plains. There will be outdoor recreation and smoked barbecue with sides available.
Buildings, for which the campaign funded renovations, will be open for viewing, and historical camp information will be provided.
