Capt. Brandon M. White, a Houston native and Houston High School graduate, has been named commanding officer of Troop F of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Col. Michael A. Turner, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announced White’s transfer from the Field Operations Bureau to Troop F, effective Sept. 1.
White was appointed to the patrol on Jan. 16, 2001, as a member of the 78th Recruit Class. After completing training at the patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop F, Zone 8, Callaway County.
In 2005, White transferred to Zone 11, serving Camden and Miller counties. He was promoted to corporal on May 13, 2007, and designated assistant supervisor of Zone 8, Callaway County. On July 9, 2009, he was promoted to sergeant and designated supervisor of Zone 9, Montgomery County.
White transferred to the Training Division at General Headquarters in Jefferson City and was designated an academy instructor on June 1, 2011. In May 2019, he was promoted to lieutenant and transferred to Troop F.
On Nov. 1, 2022, White transferred from Troop F to the Field Operations Bureau at General Headquarters in Jefferson City. He was promoted to captain and named assistant director of the Field Operations Bureau on April 1, 2025.
White grew up in Houston and graduated from Houston High School in 1995. He earned an Associate of Science degree in criminal justice from Mineral Area College in Park Hills. In 2018, he completed the Police Leadership: The West Point Model course. In 2021, he completed the Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command.
White lives in Jefferson City with his family: Stephanie, Sophie, Ethan and Lucas.
