Democrats in Howell County are invited to participate in the Howell County Democratic Party’s mass meeting at 6:30 p.m. today at the Yellow House Community Arts Center, 209 W. Trish Knight St. in West Plains. RSVP by contacting local party Co-Chair Terry Moore, 417-247-0033.
Attendees will be able to elect delegates to attend the Missouri Democratic Party’s upcoming district and state conventions, where delegates will be elected to send to the party’s national convention in August.
To be eligible to serve as a delegate at the state convention, potential candidates must be registered as a Democrat with the Secretary of State’s Office, have voted in the Democratic presidential preference primary on March 23, and have completed and returned a statement of candidacy form to the Missouri Democratic Party by April 11.
