ARRESTS

Eric Damon Smith, 46, was arrested Nov. 20 on a charge of first-degree property damage and released the following day on $5,000 bond. Deputy First Class Jared Hummel.

Denene Elizabeth Kargel, 47, was arrested Nov. 20 on a Wright County warrant for probation violation and released the following day without bond. Willow Springs Police Officer David Hocking.

Carol Jean Jones, 60, was arrested Nov. 21 on two counts of a charge of first-degree tampering with a vehicle and released the same day on $10,000 bond. Deputy Adriel Lisboa.

Ronald Jeffrey Murray, 54, was arrested Nov. 21 on a charge of driving while intoxicated and released the same day without bond. Deputy First Class Hummel.

Broc Osten Bay, 19, was arrested Nov. 22 on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge and released the same day on $500 bond. Missouri State Highway Patrol Tpr. Cole Chatman.

Bryan Anthony McDonald, 36, was arrested Nov. 22 on a charge of committing a moving traffic violation and a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge. He was released the same day on $400 cash bond. Patrol Tpr. A.K. Falterman.

Ryan Dale Pettitt, 28, was arrested Nov. 22 on a charge of first-degree property damage and released the same day on $10,000 bond. Deputy Avery Stolba.

Ryan C. Hall, 28, was arrested Nov. 22 on charges of first-degree burglary, possession of a controlled substance and stealing, value less than $150. He is held on $2,500 cash bond. West Plains Police Officer Jacob Brixey.

Jasmine Mist Mesa, 36, was arrested Friday on a charge of damaging jail property and held on $5,000 bond. West Plains Police Cpl. Thomas Manning.

Daniel Albert Moerschel, 45, was arrested Friday on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge and released the same day on $250 bond. Deputy Austin Ryan.

Tyler Vincent Winters, 23, was arrested Saturday on a charge of third-degree domestic assault and held on $5,000 bond. West Plains Police Officer Chris Barrett.

David Paul Grammar, 26, was arrested Monday on Texas County charges of failure to register vehicle and driving without maintaining financial responsibility. He is held on $1,000 cash bond. Deputy Timothy Gordon.

Christopher Michael Belcher, 36, was arrested Monday on charges of driving while revoked or suspended, repeat offense; failure to property affix or maintain license plates; and possession of a controlled substance. He is held on $3,500 cash bond. Highway patrol Sgt. A.R. Johnson.

INCIDENT REPORTS

At 7:36 a.m. Nov. 20, Deputy Lisboa reported he had been assigned to respond to a death investigation call at about 5:30 a.m. Nov. 5 in Willow Springs. A report was taken.

Deputy First Class Hummel responded at 6:39 p.m. Nov. 20 to County Road 8240 for a complaint of a domestic assault and property damage. A man was taken into custody on the charges.

At 8:42 p.m. Nov. 20, Deputy Brandon Meacham was dispatched to County Road 5530 in Willow Springs for a report of a suicidal youth. A report of third-degree domestic assault is being filed with the Juvenile Office.

Deputy Meacham was dispatched at 4:24 p.m. Nov. 21 to the sheriff’s office lobby to take a report of stealing. The report is being forwarded to investigators.

At 9:36 p.m. Nov. 21, Deputy First Class Hummel saw a vehicle driving between 10-15 mph on County Road 8620. He stopped the vehicle after it failed to signal a turn and a man was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Deputy Talon Millard saw a black passenger car with expired tags at 10:32 p.m. Nov. 21 on U.S. 160 near West Plains. The driver was arrested for driving while revoked and taken to the county jail, issued a summons, booked and released.

At 2:32 a.m. Nov. 22, Deputy Robert Malone was dispatched to the 2000 block of Kenny Avenue in West Plains for a disturbance. No criminal charges were filed.

Deputy Meacham was dispatched at 12:57 p.m. Nov. 22 to the sheriff’s office to meet with a Children’s Division representative. A report will be held on file, and no actions will be taken at this time.

At 5:23 p.m. Nov. 22, Deputy Meacham was dispatched to the sheriff’s office to meet with a woman for a child custody complaint. A report will be send to the prosecutor’s office pending charges.

Deputy Millard saw a green passenger vehicle with multiple equipment violations and expired tags driving at 2:33 a.m. Nov. 23 on U.S. 160. The vehicle was towed and the driver was ticketed, given a court date and released. Charges were filed with the county prosecutor’s office for review.

At 8:48 a.m. Nov. 23, Cpl. Seth Smith was called to respond to the area of Highway 14 and Forest Service Road 795, where a vehicle connected to a missing person had been seen. A man with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound was found dead in the vehicle. The case is closed.

Deputy First Class Dakota Millard stopped a while passenger car at 7:32 p.m. Friday on Independence Drive in West Plains. The stop resulted in the driver being arrested and taken to the county jail on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

At 4:31 p.m. Sunday, Deputy First Class Millard was dispatched to County Road 4730 for a complaint regarding a sex offense between two youths. He spoke to several people involved in the incident and collected voluntary statement forms. A report was taken and the case is pending investigation.
