ARRESTS

Joseph Michael McDonald, 35, was arrested Jan. 2 on a charge of driving while revoked and released the same day without bond. Deputy Robert Malone.

Toni Marie Boyle, 55, was arrested Jan. 2 on a charge of driving a vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility and released the same day on $300 cash bond. Deputy Michael Lewis.

Allison Rachelle Murray, 29, was arrested Jan. 2 on a Van Buren charge of speeding by 16-19 mph and released the same day on $300 cash bond. Deputy Austin Ryan.

Donald James Counts, 65, was arrested Jan. 3 on a charge of driving while intoxicated, with prior convictions. He was released the same day without bond. Deputy Shaun Duggins.

Dravin Matthew Cary Rendell, 26, was arrested Jan. 3 on a warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge and held on $5,000 bond. West Plains Police Sgt. Josh Wichowski.

Brian O’Neal Richardson, 49, was arrested Jan. 3 on a warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge and was released from Howell County custody the same day without bond. Cpl. Seth Smith.

Rebeca E. McGeathy, 34, was arrested Jan. 4 on a Franklin County charge of fourth-degree domestic assault and held on $1,000 cash bond. Mtn. View Police Officer Robert Poindexter.

Cole Wyatt Austin, 42, was arrested Saturday on Mtn. View charges of displaying another’s plates, failure to register vehicle and two counts of driving while revoked or suspended. He is held on $1,800 cash-only bond. Jailer Ethan Wake.

Emilee Reann Hicks, 23, was arrested Saturday on charges of delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and released the same day on $10,000 bond. West Plains Police Officer Ivie Powell.

Austin James Hicks, 35, was arrested Saturday on charges of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful use of a weapon by possessing a weapon and a felony controlled substance. He was released the same day on $10,000 bond. Officer Powell.

Amanda Jean Volner-Thacker, 43, was arrested Saturday on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge, plus a misdemeanor charge of passing a bad check. She is held on $435.31 cash bond. Jailer Christopher Stanley.

Barry Russell Jones, Jr., 44, was arrested Saturday on charges of fourth degree domestic assault, two counts, and resisting arrest. He is held on $2,500. Deputy First Class Jared Hummel.

Sabrina Mae Desiree Heavin, 33, was arrested Saturday on a Mtn. View charge of driving while revoked or suspended and released the following day on $217 cash bond. Deputy First Class Hummel.

Joshua Michael Ray, 27, was arrested Sunday on a charge of driving while intoxicated and released the same day without bond. Deputy First Class Hummel.

INCIDENT REPORTS

At 9:38 a.m. Jan. 1, an investigator with the Department of Social Services asked for assistance with a hotline call regarding possible child abuse on AB Highway, placed after a 17-year-old boy was treated for a prescription drug overdose. Deputy Dylan Webb took a report. Investigation is ongoing.

Deputy Webb took a walk-in report for a violation of a protection order at 1:14 p.m. Jan. 1. The reporting party said the subject of the protection order followed her in a vehicle on Highway 17 south of West Plains, then passed her, drove to a county road and tried to fight with a person in the vehicle. A report was taken and investigation is ongoing.

At 1:19 p.m. Jan. 1, Deputy Webb took a walk-in report regarding an order of protection violation. A resident of AB Highway said she received a letter, card and direct communication from a person against whom she has a temporary protection order. A report was taken and investigation is ongoing.

Deputy Talon Millard responded at 9:22 p.m. Jan. 1 to a dispatched call regarding possible domestic assault on County Road 8680 in West Plains. Both parties denied medical treatment and declined to pursue charges, but were “highly intoxicated” so they were told to separate for 12 hours and given judicial remedies before being separated. No charges have been filed.

At 10:01 a.m. Dec. 2, Deputy Ryan spoke to a person in the sheriff’s office lobby who wanted to report his dog being shot by his neighbor. The deputy spoke with both parties, took a report and the case is under investigation.

Cpl. Dakota Millard was given a voluntary statement from an inmate of the jail at 2:22 p.m. Jan. 2 regarding an incident. He took a report for documentation and the case is under investigation.

At 3:21 p.m. Jan. 2, Deputy Jacob Hamby responded to the sheriff’s office to take a report of identity theft.

Deputy James Wardrip was dispatched at 10:44 p.m. Jan. 2 to the sheriff’s office to speak with a mother of a child who received disturbing texts from another child. The case was forwarded to the Juvenile Office.

At 8:15 a.m. Jan. 3, Cpl. Smith served an arrest warrant in Pottersville. During a search in the process of making the arrest, a white crystalline substance believed to be meth was seized. Formal charges will be sought.

Deputy Malone reported at 8:45 a.m. Jan. 3 that, at about 2:30 that morning, he was dispatched to County Road 3390 for a possible domestic disturbance. A man was arrested and booked into the county jail.

At 10:48 a.m. Jan. 3, Deputy Ryan was notified of a person who wanted to report his child had received inappropriate images from the child’s mother. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

Cpl. Smith was dispatched at 12:58 p.m. Jan. 3 to County Road 6970 for a man who had accidentally shot himself. The man was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for medical treatment.

At 1:59 p.m. Jan. 3, Cpl. Millard was dispatched to County Road 3740 in Mtn. View to speak with a person regarding a sex offender. A report was taken.

Deputy Hamby responded at 2:08 p.m. Jan. 3 to Conley’s Quick Stop No. 3 on U.S. 160 in West Plains for a gas drive-off and collected details for a report. A person of interest was identified.

At 2:56 p.m. Jan. 3, Deputy Ryan spoke to a person who wanted to report identity theft and took a report.

Deputy First Class Travis Weaver responded at 6:17 p.m. Jan. 3 to a residence on west U.S. 160 in West Plains for a reported domestic disturbance. After speaking to all involved, the suspect was removed from the home, but the victim did not want to pursue charges.

At 2:33 a.m. Jan. 4, Deputy Wardrip was dispatched to a. Home on County Road 3440 in Mtn. View for a death investigation. The case is closed and the remains were taken into possession by Yarber Mortuary.

Deputy Hamby was called to respond at 8:52 a.m. Jan. 4 to OO Highway in Caulfield for a disturbance between two people. He spoke to all involved and collected information for a report.

At 1:21 p.m. Jan. 4, Cpl. Millard was dispatched to Oak Street in Mtn. View to speak to someone who wanted to report harassment. A voluntary statement form was completed for a report and the case is pending investigation.

Deputy Tessa Jens met at 3:21 p.m. Jan. 4 with an employee of the Children’s Division regarding possible child abuse and later responded with the employee to a home on County Road 2350, where parents and children in the home were interviewed. It was found no child abuse was occurring in the home, but the Children’s Division is continuing to investigate the allegations.

At 11:05 p.m. Jan. 4, Deputy Timothy Gordon was on patrol on U.S. 160 near E Highway in South Fork and noticed a car ahead of him had a malfunctioning brake light. He pulled the vehicle over and discovered the driver’s privileges were suspended. A consent search was conducted, revealing controlled substances and a loaded handgun. The occupants were arrested and taken to jail, then booked on various felony charges. Probable cause statements will be forwarded to the count prosecutor’s office.

Cpl. Millard was dispatched at 6:57 p.m. Friday to PP Highway near West Plains for possible domestic violence. He spoke to both parties and took a report for documentation.

At 9:44 p.m. Friday, Deputy First Class Weaver responded to County Road 2350 in Pomona for a domestic disturbance. The victim did not want to pursue charges and had separated from the suspect for the night. He gave judicial remedies and took a voluntary statement form and a report.

Deputy Kyle Parrish responded to an address on U.S. 63 north of Pomona to do a well-being check on a potentially suicidal woman. She was found with no visible injuries and taken to Ozarks Healthcare for a 96-hour mental health evaluation hold.
