West Plains Downtown will host its first-ever Prom Parade celebration from 4 to 6 p.m. April 25, offering students and families a festive gathering space before the night’s festivities.
Rather than a traditional parade, the event will transform Court Square and portions of Washington Avenue into a pedestrian-only zone. Roads in the area will be closed to vehicle traffic to allow prom-goers to safely stroll downtown.
The event is designed as a community send-off, featuring designated photo-op locations, music and local food trucks.
“Prom Parade is about slowing down for a moment and letting our community show up for these students,” organizers said. “It’s a chance to create memories and celebrate prom night together in the heart of downtown.”
Community members are encouraged to attend and celebrate with the students. Specific street closure details and additional event information will be shared by the city in advance of the event.
