Incumbent Sheriff Brent Campbell, 48, introduces himself as a 1994 West Plains High School graduate who went on to graduate first in his class from the with a Class B license from the Moberly Area Community College Law Enforcement Training Center Academy in 1999. He then became a full-time patrol officer for the Howell County Sheriff's Department and two years later was selected for the Howell County S.W.A.T. unit.
