Kansas driver hurt in crash near Gainesville

A Kansas resident was injured when her vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree at 8 p.m. Tuesday on County Road 519, 8 miles east of Gainesville in Ozark County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Cpl. D.L. Nash with Troop G of the patrol in Willow Springs reported Jacqueline K. Sprague, 70, Paola, Kan., was driving a westbound 2005 Chevrolet Malibu when the crash happened.

It was not known if Sprague was wearing a seat belt, and she was transported to Baxter Health in Mtn. Home, Ark., according to the report.
