The sleet began to fall across the Ozarks by noon on Wednesday, and by 1 p.m. significant accumulation had closed several West Plains businesses and caused treacherous driving conditions. According to the National Weather Service, this latest round will continue to dump freezing rain and sleet in the area until this evening with total accumulation expected to be between 1-1.5 inches.
