Despite Howell, Douglas, Ozark and Shannon counties’ best efforts to elect 155th District Missouri House Rep. Travis Smith to the Senate District 33 office, 138th District Rep. Brad Hudson of Cape Fair won the race. The position is being vacated by Karla Eslinger. Both men are Republicans, as is Eslinger.
