Ford Estate Planning to offer free workshop Oct. 26

A free educational workshop, The Truth About Estate Planning, will be led by attorney Hannon T. Ford from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the East Towne Village Community Center, 1380 Bill Virdon Blvd. in West Plains, next door to Wages Brewing Company on the left side.

Ford aims to cover “what few people are willing to discuss about estate planning,” including how to avoid unnecessary costs, taxes and other estate problems in a fun and relaxed classroom setting. The focus of the class will be on planning ahead to avoid the major problems many estates face today, he said.

The class will learn about trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney and living wills.

The class is free but registration is required; to sign up or for more information call Ford Estate Planning & Elder Law, 417-204-0076.
