Local businesses donate to support cystic fibrosis research
The 36th annual Cystic Fibrosis Benefit Concert was a record breaker this year, thanks to the help of donors like Angie Worley of Assurance Realty, who contributed $500 to the cause of cystic fibrosis research. The event raised $92,601 from ticket sales, donations of auction and giveaway items, and restaurant fundraiser days. Kim Bontrager and Nosari Home Mortgage made a $250 donation to the recent 36th annual Cystic Fibrosis Benefit Concert. The sellout event, held March 16, included silent and live auctions of donated items and a performance by local volunteer group Jessica's Friends, who opened for headliner Sara Evans. A record breaking $92,601 total was raised for cystic fibrosis research.
