On May 25, 1935, in the twilight of his legendary career, Babe Ruth took to the field at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh and delivered a performance that would etch itself into the annals of baseball history. This day, however, was bittersweet, as it marked both the final triumph of Ruth's home run prowess and the ongoing decline of his physical capabilities. Ruth, playing for the Boston Braves, would hit the last three home runs of his career, but despite his heroic efforts, the Braves would still succumb to the Pittsburgh Pirates with an 11-7 loss.
